What this site
does and does not promise.

Indicative prices are not quotations, and a colour on a screen is not a paint. Both matter enough to write down.

Who we are

This site is published by Aone Decorations Ltd, registered in England and Wales, trading from Unit 4, Bankside Works, 118 Southwark Street, London SE1 0SW. Contacting us through it does not create a contract; work begins only when we have both signed a written specification.

What is on this site

Prices shown as “from” figures are indicative starting rates for straightforward work in Greater London. They are not quotations. A quotation is a written document specific to your property, and only that document binds us.

Lead times are the periods we were achieving when this page was last updated. They move with the order book and with specialist suppliers, and we tell you the real figure when we quote.

Project descriptions describe work we have carried out. Areas, durations and scopes are as recorded at handover.

Colour on a screen

Every colour shown on this site or in our app is a screen colour. Screens differ, ambient light differs, and pigment behaves differently from emitted light. Nothing here should be used to choose a paint. Confirm every colour against a physical sample, in the room it is destined for, in that room's own light, before anything is bought or applied.

Our app

Undertone is provided free, as it is, for personal use. It is a training and planning tool, not professional advice.

Its quantity estimates are arithmetic performed on figures you enter. They assume a spreading rate, a number of coats and a wastage allowance, all of which are printed beside the result. Porous, textured or strongly contrasting surfaces need more paint than the default assumes. Check the figure against the product's own stated coverage before ordering.

Its colour measurements describe how you performed in the app, on your screen, in whatever light you were in. They are a useful guide. They are not a clinical or diagnostic result, and the app must not be treated as a test for colour-vision deficiency.

You may use the app for your own work, including professional work. You may not decompile it, resell it, or present its output as an independent certification of anything.

Intellectual property

The text, drawings, generated artwork and code of this site belong to us. You are welcome to quote from it with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce it wholesale or present it as your own.

The colours in our app are our own invention. They are not matched to, and do not correspond with, any manufacturer's product or reference. Trade names mentioned anywhere on this site belong to their owners.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude.

Beyond that, we are not liable for a decision taken on the basis of this site or the app alone — most obviously a colour chosen from a screen rather than from a physical sample. Our liability for work we carry out is governed by the contract for that work, not by this page.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top is the date of the current version, and it lives at https://dama.pics/terms.
